I) The head code contains iformation, which spiders, and other search engines use, if applicable, to obtain data about the web site:

        a) <head></head>

        b) <head>
              <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
              <meta name="Author" content="Your name">
              <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Your HTML Editor [en] (WinXX; U) [XXXX]">
              <title>Your Title</title>
            </head>

         c) WinXX = your windows version, and [XXXX] = your browser

II) The description, and keywords of a web site can be placed between the  <head> statement for the index page.  See the meta tag code page.

III) Parental control information can be placed within this section, if a person chooses to have their site rated for various elements.  As a result, the people, who have parental controls on their systems will either block, or access certain web sites with this feature.  Certain words within a title, or description will alert the parental controls, and, also, cause a site not to be accessable.
